ARK Staffing/CRNA Together & Loyola University Medical Center

Loyola University Medical Center Bridge Staffing Overview

HOSPITAL ISSUE

The Anesthesia Medical Director of Loyola Medical approached ARK Staffing and CRNA Together in August of 2024 after they lost a dozen anesthesiologists and CRNA from their academic staff, while simultaneously needing to staff a new surgical outpatient center that was set to go-live in four months. Loyola heard through referrals about our Bridge Staffing Program success that we did with another system in Chicago. ARK and CRNA Together collaborated with Loyola anesthesia leadership and filled all 18 points of service (18 surgical rooms per day) within 45 days of receiving the contract.

Solution:

Leverage ARK and CRNA Together’s vast Chicagoland anesthesia network to recruit, screen and consider the ideal anesthesia clinicians that would be able to commit to the scope and practice of the work being needed at Loyola Medical Center. ARK and CRNA Together screened over 45 clinicians to fill all 18 daily rooms or points of service that are needed and working today.

How did it Work?

ARK and CRNA Together had complete buy-in and trust from the Loyola Medical Center Anesthesia leadership team. ARK & CRNA Together identified what type of physicians and CRNA would be needed for this academic practice as 1099 contractors. Over 95% of the anesthesia clinicians that ARK and CRNA Together submitted for review to Loyola leadership were accepted to receive medical staff privileges. This collaboration of both parties resulted in an unbelievable goal of filling 18 FTE points of service within a 45 day work period. Loyola anesthesia leadership follow ARK and CRNA Together’s Bridge Program Best practices where one point of leadership was in constant collaboration and communication with ARK and CRNA Together’s main account manager. This streamlined process is the reason why the program is fully operational now and thriving.
