CRNA Together assists Advocate Aurora with large-scale 20+ clinician program change within 60 days.

In late-2021, Advocate Aurora (AAMG) terminated their contract with a private anesthesia group at one of their Chicago hospital.  With 60 days notice AAMG needed to overhaul and take management of the anesthesia program and anesthesia residency.  AAAMG needed to retain the existing CRNA pool as 1099 clinicians while simultaneously onboarding additional CRNA and MD coverage. CRNA Together worked alongside AAMG to convert the existing CRNAs to CRNA Togethers platform at a discounted margin.

The collaboration and trust of CRNA Together with AAMG leadership to meet a goal and to deliver services ensured the long-term success of this project.

Solution:

Advocate Aurora worked exclusively with CRNA Together as a collaborative staffing partner to staff over 20 CRNA and MD-anesthesia providers that started on time when AAMG took back ownership of their large hospital-based anesthesia program.

Due to CRNA Together’s assistance on CRNA staffing, AAMG was able to fully focus on and recruit 12 FTE W2 physicians within one year.

CRNA Together has completely staffed the CRNA side of this program since 2021.

Number of shifts from CRNA Together: 1750 and counting

How Did It Work

The leadership of CRNA Together and the Regional/C-suite leadership of Advocate Aurora developed a transparent, trusting relationship. Through this relationship, CRNA Together has helped AAMG expand the CRNA coverage from 5 FTE (existing 1099 CRNAs who were transitioned to CRNA Together) to 9 FTE within 60 days. Key components of this relationship are bimonthly calls with CRNA Together and AAMG leadership, access to site scheduler, and the ability to connect CRNA Together clinicians to on-site clinical leadership.
